Digital Business has been developed in collaboration with our industry partners to focus on design, technology and leadership, preparing you to shape the future for existing businesses or as an entrepreneur.

This program is your chance to dive into the latest digital trends and take your ideas to the next level, covering topics ranging from fast-paced development and data-driven marketing to digital commerce and social entrepreneurship. In our creative learning environment, you will be challenged to develop business plans and strategies using techniques relevant to today’s industry.

Whether you have a background in business, wish to develop your own innovative ideas or are looking for more hands-on experience, the Digital Business program will help you build and refine your skills in our unique learning environment. By the time you graduate, you will have the knowledge and experience to launch or upgrade your career as Business Developer, eCommerce Manager, Marketing Manager, Digital Marketer, Project Manager or entrepreneur.

Real briefs set by real clients form the core of the program’s modules and are developed in collaboration with our network of industry partners. By working with “live” project briefs, you will focus on design and entrepreneurial challenges relevant for the services and applications of tomorrow.

Internship

weeks

During your time at Hyper Island you will undertake an internship, most likely with one of the 600 companies in Hyper Island’s global network. Your internship will give you on-the-job opportunities, industry experience, and access to international contacts. The program also includes an individual research project before graduation.

Program fee

Nordic students
For persons with a legal residency in any of the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland or Faeroe Islands), regardless of nationality or citizenship, it is possible to apply to one of the governmentally funded seats, i.e., free of charge. Please note that Nordic students may also apply for International seats with a program fee if all governmentally funded seats are taken. If you’re interested, please add that request to the application form and we will contact you for more information.

International students
For International Students the 65-week program fee is 170 000 SEK.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or similar - or foreign equivalent.
  • All applicants need to verify English language proficiency.
  • A minimum of one year (full-time) relevant industry experience within the field of business development, strategy, marketing or equivalent skill, such as through previous studies.

  • What are the program requirements?

    A successful applicant needs 1 year’s full-time working experience or equivalent within the field of business development, strategy, marketing or communication or higher education within a similar area for at least 2 years full-time.

  • What does the program cost?

    The program is free for persons with a legal residency in any of the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland or Faeroe Islands), regardless of nationality or citizenship. For International applicants, the program fee is 170 000 SEK.

  • What is the application deadline?

    For Nordic applicants: The application deadline for the program starting in August 2017 is April 13th.

    For International applicants, the application process is ongoing throughout.

  • What is the Creative Task?

    The Creative Task is mandatory for all Nordic applicants. It is a creative brief that challenges you to create a service, product or idea to solve a specific problem. The task is updated each year. To find this year’s Creative Task, please click here.

  • What documents do I need to provide in my application?

    You need to submit your CV, Creative Task (if you are an International applicant you may submit your portfolio or work samples instead), school transcripts (High School degree or higher) as well as certification that supports your CV (college/university transcripts, payslip, letter of recommendation, employer letter or similar).

  • What qualification will I gain from this program?

    The program is accredited by Myndigheten för Yrkeshögskola (Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education) and graduates from the program will receive a diploma in Higher Vocational Education. International students graduating from the program will receive a non-accredited diploma of successful completion from Hyper Island.
