21ST CENTURY STORYTELLING IS MORE THAN JUST WORDS

This full-time study program from Hyper Island will develop your critical ability to assess the quality content in different strategic contexts.

You will master skills such as storytelling, content creation, video production, and writing. You will also get the skills you need to succeed in the strategy, planning and production phases – as well as methods for analyzing and measuring digital channels.

The program covers the trends affecting marketing, communication and sales from a technical and business perspective. You will learn all about the latest, global, future, trends driving business and marketing forward.

Storytelling skills
Acquire in-depth knowledge of creativity and writing, strategic use of text, images, movies and sound in digital channels.

Cultural awareness
Gain an understanding of the cultural and psychological gateways to creating compelling content and produce successful business strategies.

The right terminology
Learn all the basic terms, concepts and definitions of content development. Master how to create, write and produce content for blogs, mobile apps, podcasts, websites and VR.

AND THEN?

When you've graduated from the Content Developer program, you will have the skills to develop and create concepts for relevant content based on goals, business objectives and target audiences. You will be able to:

  • Use different distribution channels creatively and efficiently;
  • Estimate and create production budgets;
  • Lead the content planning process to meet marketing, sales, public relations and communication objectives;
  • Apply methods and processes based on "design thinking" and user-centered design and production;
  • Perform practical production steps for text, image, design, front-end video and audio;
  • Present and sell ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing;
  • Apply the process of quality assurance concepts and production;
  • Perform resource allocation data in research, analysis, content development and distribution.

  • What are the program requirements?

    A successful applicant needs to have obtained a high school diploma (“Gymnasieexamen”) or foreign equivalent. No previous work experience is needed.

  • What does the program cost to attend?

    The program is free for persons with a legal residency in any of the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland or Faeroe Islands), regardless of nationality or citizenship. For International applicants, the program fee is 180 000 SEK.

  • What is the application deadline?

    For Nordic applicants: The application deadline for the program starting in August 2018 is April 5th.

    For International applicants, the application process is ongoing throughout.

  • What documents do I need to provide in my application?

    You need to submit your CV, Application Task (if you are an International applicant you may submit your portfolio or work samples instead), school transcripts (High School degree or higher) as well as certification that supports your CV (college/university transcripts, payslip, letter of recommendation, employer letter or similar).

  • What qualification will I gain from this program?

    The program is accredited by Myndigheten för Yrkeshögskola (Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education) and graduates from the program will receive a diploma in Higher Vocational Education. International students graduating from the program will receive a non-accredited diploma of successful completion from Hyper Island.
