Content experts are in high demand. This program is designed to help you gain the most in-demand skills in content development right now. You will combine hands-on creative work and consumer insights to solve real market needs.

Get industry critical skills
This program will develop your critical ability to assess the quality of content in different strategic contexts. You will master skills such as storytelling, content creation, video production, and writing. You will also get the skills you need to succeed in the strategy, planning and production phases – as well as methods for analyzing and measuring digital channels.

The program covers the trends affecting marketing, communication and sales from a technical and business perspective. You will learn all about the latest, global, future, trends driving business and marketing forward.

Course Content

21st century storytelling is more than just words

The Content Developer program spans over a period of 80 weeks that will develop your critical ability to assess the quality of content in different strategic contexts. You’ll spend 48 weeks at our Stockholm campus, plus 17 weeks doing an internship somewhere in the world.

Storytelling skills

Acquire in-depth knowledge of creativity and writing, strategic use of text, images, movies and sound in digital channels. You will master skills such as storytelling, content creation, video production, and writing.

Cultural awareness

Gain an understanding of the cultural and psychological gateways to creating compelling content and produce successful business strategies. You will learn all about the latest, global, future, trends driving business and marketing.

The right terminology

Learn all the basic terms, concepts and definitions of content development. Master how to create, write and produce content for blogs, mobile apps, podcasts, websites and VR. Get a basic understanding of marketing, communication, sales, data analysis, publishing, public relations, front-end development and video production.

Useful insights

Solve complex business and strategy challenges with design thinking and user-centric approaches, and learn about the legal aspects of content production and distribution. You will also get the knowledge you need to succeed in the strategy, planning and production phases – as well as methods for analyzing and measuring digital channels.

When you’ve graduated from the Content Developer program, you will have the skills to develop and create concepts for relevant content based on goals, business objectives and target audiences. You will be able to:

  • Use different distribution channels creatively and efficiently
  • Lead the content planning process to meet marketing, sales, public relations and communication objectives
  • Apply methods and processes based on “design thinking” and user-centered design and production
  • Perform practical production steps for text, image, design, front-end video and audio
  • Apply the process of quality assurance concepts and production
  • Perform resource allocation data in research, analysis, content development and distribution.

Application & Admissions

Entry Requirements 
Successful applicants needs to have a high school diploma. No previous work experience is required.

Program Fee
The program fee is 180,000 SEK.

Swedish and Nordic residents can study this program free of charge.

Admissions process for International Applicants
Step 1: Pick a program
Hyper Island offers a wide variety of programs to suit any number of learning and career goals. As part of your application, you can select up to 3 program choices.

Step 2: Book a call with the admissions team
If you have made a choice of program or would like to explore your options, we are here to help. Arrange a call with our admissions team to get all the info you need to submit an application. You can reach us by email or book a call with our student relations manager.

Step 3: Digital admissions and callback
Together with our student relations manager, you will decide on a date to join a Digital Admissions day. Digital admissions days are held online and involve an interview, group task and individual task. A week later, you will participate in an online callback meeting with our admissions manager, who will give you our decision regarding your application. Read more here.
