MA Digitalexperience Design

Develop your technical, creative and strategic skills as an Experience Designer to shape the change within this evolving industry.

craft experiences

The MA in Digital Experience Design will prepare you to become a better designer. It will push your technical, creative and strategic skills. Give you the confidence to work across disciplinary, cultural, and geographical boundaries. You'll leave us primed to design and lead valuable experiences in any industry.

The role of a designer is shifting. There is currently a gap between what schools teach and what a designer needs to know to build products, services and systems in the real world. We designed our MA in response to demand from industry. And, we developed its modules in collaboration with industry.

Transform your skills
You will learn how to apply design thinking into your every-day discipline. Exploring experience design and related fields such as service design and interaction design, you will gain the knowledge to lead the change in this evolving industry.

Make better decisions
Understand the components to create succinct online and offline experiences. You'll collaborate with peers and professionals on real business challenges in a range of practical projects. That will help you to develop the skills that leaders need to make good strategic decisions.

Get the understanding
Understand human behaviour and practice rigorous research. Leverage digital technologies and prototyping to test theories. Utilize project management skills, gain business acumen and learn to build and lead an effective design team.

What you’ll learn

The program has six practical group projects led by industry practitioners, and one independent research project. 24 weeks will be spent in School, and 20-weeks in Industry during your research project.

Experiential learning

By using a methodology that focuses on the why as much as the how and the what, on team collaboration instead of individual effort, we challenge participants to grow personally and professionally. We introduce new ways of thinking and learning for participants to develop themselves into lifelong learners.

Worldwide Peer Network

Become part of a thriving peer network of industry and alumni. Our students join us from all over the world. Our alumni are featured in thought leadership articles, sought by industry, and go on to explore exciting career paths. It's a network that will support your growth beyond your study.

Solve real challenges

Focus on design and entrepreneurial challenges to develop and test the products and services of the future. You'll work individually and in teams on real briefs set by real clients.

As designers we are well placed to move with change, to seek out new problems and new solutions. It's never been harder to be a designer, and never more rewarding.
