What you'll be doing: Part time

SESSION 1: Introduction to Hyper Island methodology and team building

Introduction to Hyper Island. Building the team and culture creation according to Hyper Island methodology. Introduction and overview of the themes and ideas that will drive the content throughout the course. These days will include a fast-paced series of presentations and collaborative workshops together with the facilitator.

SESSION 2: A new logic - setting the stage

Exploring the impact digital has on today’s communication and business models. Understanding the networked world and what opportunities and challenges it brings.

SESSION 3: Discovery phase

Explore trends and reflect on their impact on society and workplaces. Digging into users needs and expectations with the Jobs To Be Done process . Formulate “How Might We” statements which will be the bases for the upcoming ideation phase.

SESSION 4: Digital strategy

Exploring the meaning of what a digital strategy could be and what it means for the individual participants.

SESSION 5: Ideation and prototyping

The participants try out different ideation methods for business solutions and concepts based on insights and start to build prototypes.

SESSION 6: Facilitation

The participants designs and run their own workshops while taking turns delivering, participating, observing and giving feedback.

SESSION 7: Data and digital tactics

How do we optimize our tactics for search engines and viral platforms? How do we market through content and value creation for our customers? Explore different formats of putting it into learnings into a strategy.

SESSION 8: Test & validate

Direct test and validation followed by iterations on prototypes.

SESSION 9: Culture change

Explore the enablers of and barriers to change and how forward-thinking organizations approach it in order to stay ahead of the curve in a landscape of rapid change.

SESSION 10: Managing your learning journey and moving into action

Wrapping up, sharing the knowledge and skills you have developed. Discussing around how to bring the experience back into your organisations, teams and processes. Creating your own action plan.

What you'll be doing: Intensive

DAY 1: Building a learning environment and a new logic

Introduction and foundation: Clarifying program purpose, establishing expectations and building foundation for success.

Setting the scene: Introduction, exercises and dialogue to create an environment for collaboration and learning.

New logic: Drivers in technology, culture and behaviour driving change; re-framing the “digital” revolution in terms of human beings and networks.

DAY 2: Tools and methods for digital strategy

Digital strategy: Exploring the meaning of what a digital strategy could be and what it means for the individual participants.

Ideation & prototyping: Workshop session incorporating insights so far into a into an interactive, fast paced opportunity to create prototypes, test and learn from.

DAY 3: Ideation, prototyping, data and digital tactics

Data-driven decision making: Advancements in tech, data collection and analytics, helping us better understand customer needs and opportunities.

Test & validate: Test and validate your prototype with a live audience.

DAY 4: Culture, change, facilitation

Leading change: Explore the enablers of and barriers to change and how forward-thinking organisations approach it in order to stay ahead of the curve in a landscape of rapid change. Practice the art of facilitation and process design as complements to traditional leadership and management

Readying for your organization: Updating and testing individual narratives around tech acumen through storytelling, coaching and live presentations to peers.

Facilitation: The participants run designs and run their own workshops, while taking turns in delivering, participating, observing and giving feedback.

DAY 5: Wrap up and moving into action

Moving into action: Wrapping-up, sharing the knowledge and skills you have developed. Discussing around how to bring the experience back into your organisations, teams and processes. Creating your own action plan.

You can probably tie most of our major progress as a civilization to some form of technological innovation in our entire history. What seems old now were once innovative breakthroughs back in their heydays.
