CROSS-FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE

In order to facilitate a better learning experience, Business Development Upskill course participants will be collaboratively working with the Sustainability Change Leadership Upskill course participants on "The Sustainable Models module". During this module, participants will follow the schedule below for the weekly online sessions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

If you are applying to the both Business Development and the UX Design Upskill course, you can submit the same Application Task.
1. Proof of 2 years of relevant working experience (in form of agreements, recommendation letters, payslips etc.)

Prerequisites: 2 years of work experience from organizational or business development, project management, planning, research, teaching, sales, system development or design.

2. Submit an Application Task

Make a 1-minute video and tell us about existing service, business, product or design that could be transformed to create a positive change for their core users or customers by using Hyper Island Toolbox. Please go to Question 3 to read more details.

Make a 1-minute video and tell us about existing service, business, product or design that could be transformed to create a positive change for their core users or customers. In the Hyper Island Toolbox, we have methods for sparking Innovation and creating change.

4. What do I need to submit along with my Application Task?

1. Your CV

2. Proof of your highest earned education (High School, Bachelor, Master etc)

3. Proof of 2 years of relevant working experience (The proof can be agreements, recommendation letters, payslips etc.)

5. For those applying for the Swedish Government Funded Seat: To be considered a student who qualifies for a Swedish government-funded YH education (Yrkeshögskolan) you must hold a personal number or coordination number (equivalent from one of the Nordic countries below) and fulfil at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen of Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Finland or any of the related territories.
  • Have a permanent right of residence in one of the countries mentioned above
  • Have a temporary right of residence in Sweden for the full duration of the course.

You must also meet at least one of the following entry requirements:

1) applicants need to have at least a high school diploma (“Gymnasieexamen”) or equivalent from Komvux
2) have a Swedish or foreign education that is equivalent to the requirements in item 1
3) resides in Denmark, Finland, Iceland or Norway and are eligible for an equivalent education in that country
4) through Swedish or foreign education, practical experience or in any other way meet the conditions to be granted admission in the program

Applicants applying for a Swedish government-funded seat must also meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Proof of basic knowledge of the Swedish language or any of the other Scandinavian languages (Danish, Faroese, Icelandic or Norwegian). Review here to see what we accept as proof. 

*You can submit your documents in other languages than Swedish or English.

5. What are the evaluation criteria for the Application Task?

Criteria: Creativity, Research, Originality, Critical thinking/ Systems thinking.

*The maximum length of video: 1 minute. Longer videos will not be taken into consideration.

Rating of Application Task Video:

BASICS – 2 POINTS: Submitting a task in English.

RESEARCH – 2 POINTS: Clear that research and thought has been put into the task & clearly presents the research results in a good way.

INNOVATION – 2 POINTS: Original/Unique idea that is feasible.

COMMUNICATION – 2 POINTS: Communicating the idea in a clear way & showed abilities to ‘catch the viewer’.

PRESENTATION - 2 POINTS: Interesting presentation with a clear ending.

Our Business Developer upskill course is for anyone with 2 years of work experience from organizational or business development, project management, planning, research, teaching, sales, system development or design.
First, you need to submit your application along with the required documents and application task before the deadline. Second, our admission team will review all documents and your application task. And third, the final admissions notice will be sent out in due time.
To be considered a student who qualifies for a Swedish government-funded YH education (Yrkeshögskolan) you must fulfil at least one of the following criteria: 1) Be a citizen of Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Finland or any of the related territories. 2) Have a permanent right of residence in one of the countries mentioned above 3) Have a temporary right of residence in Sweden for the full duration of the course. Note! By the course start dates, you must hold a Swedish personal identity number (personnummer), coordination number (samordningsnummer) or equivalent from one of the Nordic countries mentioned above. Yes, the course is government funded and CSN-approved. Eligible candidates can apply for the newly introduced financial support “Omställningsstudiestöd”. Applicants from other Nordic countries, you should contact your local education support provider.
Don’t worry; we also have discretionary seats available, so we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet our standard entry requirements.
You can apply to all three Upskill courses and study two courses at the same time.
