Are you the next Hyper Island MA Future Champion? From tuition fees to living expenses, making the choice to invest in your Masters Degree isn’t easy. That’s why we’re excited to introduce two new types of grants: 

  • The Social Impact Grant: For this grant we’re seeking applicants who have demonstrated the ability to drive change with an emphasis on diversity, while implementing solutions that benefit society as a whole.
  • The Entrepreneurial Impact Grant: For this grant we’re seeking candidates who think and act with an entrepreneurial spirit and have a strong sense of how to put a project or idea into action.

Types of Grants

The Social Impact Grant: This grant is for applicants with experience at a non-governmental organization (NGO), charity, or multilateral, or at a social startup organization. We’re seeking applicants who have demonstrated the ability to drive change with an emphasis on diversity, while implementing solutions that benefit society as a whole.

If you are one of the two students awarded with this grant you’ll receive 50% support in funding on your tuition fee.

The Entrepreneurial Impact Grant: This grant is for applicants that can demonstrate their involvement, leadership, or role in the outcome of an entrepreneurial project. We’re seeking candidates who think and act with an entrepreneurial spirit and have a strong sense of how to put a project or idea into action as well as can display a vision to drive change in the future.

If you are one of the two students awarded with this grant you’ll receive 25% support in funding on your tuition fee.

Who Can Apply

To promote fairness, we accept applicants based on their degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher) or previous work experience (at least 3 years of relevant work experience).

If you are a Non-EU Masters applicant and have not received English education at university-level, or are from a country where English is not the main spoken language, you are also required to submit a completed IELTS (score minimum of 6.0, no less than 5.5 on each section).

Terms and Conditions

You can only apply to receive one type of grant per year, and two grants will be awarded per Hyper Island Masters program starting in 2020.

The first round of grant applications to our full-time MA Digital Management and MA Digital Experience Design programs in Manchester starting Jan 2020 will be closing on 22nd November 2019 at midnight CET. You will be notified of our decision by 29th November 2019.

Grant applications currently remain open for our remaining 2020 intakes.

If you have already been accepted for Hyper Island Masters program starting in 2020, you can still apply for a grant below.

Hyper Island and the Masters Grants Panel reserves the final right to decide on grant awards depending on the quality of grant applicants.
