The role is based in NYC and will focus on leading our team, business and client work as we enter our next stage of growth. The MD role is dedicated to revenue generation, growing and nurturing our network of ambitious professionals, companies and organizations. Our client work covers digital transformation, innovation, culture and leadership development. Hands on Experience from building new business and leading a consultative sales team is a requirement. You must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities & tasks
Client management and sales:

  • Identify a variety of sources (direct outreach, networking, industry conferences, press, PR) to develop new leads and client prospects with significant long-term revenue potential
  • Maintaining responsibility to develop a knowledge base and broad networks of relationships in key industry segments eg FMCG (Finance Communication & Branding Media Healthcare Retail)
  • Managing outreach programs, generating meetings conference calls and following up accordingly with regular keep in touch campaigns to establish an ongoing dialogue
  • Targeting new prospects with relevant communication and marketing materials


  • Lead, develop & coach our team to seize opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Meet and exceed sales goals both for new sales and add-on sales and upgrades 

The ideal candidate is a natural networker, thought leader with business flair, has an entrepreneurial spirit and a relentless focus on targeting new opportunities and winning new business. The candidate should have knowledge and experience from learning design, being a speaker, group facilitation, digital transformation or other areas that are relevant in our client projects. The role requires autonomy, ownership, entrepreneurial skills, personal drive, and a hands-on, can-do attitude.

Education, Experience & Competence
We need you to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or relevant work experience
  • Experienced business developer, proven track record of revenue generation with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
  • Proven track record of establishing and building new client relationships in the digital, marketing, innovation, or management consulting arena
  • Demonstrated strategic and business acumen with the ability to quickly and incisively diagnose a client's biggest business challenge
  • Demonstrated skills at consultative selling with an ability to uncover key insights to guide prospects to an understanding of how the Hyper Island offering will benefit their business
