This year, we won the "App of the Year 2017" at the Google Play Awards in Mountain View. With near zero marketing spend we’ve grown organically to tens of millions of users, and we’re already profitable with a team of 56 (comprising 37 nationalities).
We’re looking for a Designer to take Memrise to the next level (Level 3, if you’re asking). The goal in the coming years is to become the dominant product and pre-eminent brand in global language learning.
Your mission will be to exponentially grow the number of learners on Memrise by designing engaging and highly converting onboarding experiences at the top of the funnel. (Salary: £23,000 - 30,000 + benefits).
You will be working on the following in the Growth team:
1) Designing organic and paid user acquisition flow funnels from discovery to the first action with the app/website.
2) Coming up with creative ideas for app stores, ads, landing pages, emails etc.
If you join us, you'll get to:
Design new creatives for user acquisition channels within the growth team
Create designs for experiments for app store product pages, landing pages on web, conversion emails and seasonal promotions for multiple languages and for cultural contexts
Plan design iterations in an experimental fashion
Work with other Designers, Product and Marketing people to drive the user growth
Ideally you'll have some or all of the following:
Expert in visual design, have deep understanding of designing for first impression
Have experience in designing for diverse groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, cultural behaviours etc.)
Can think systematically, establish and follow frameworks, guidelines and patterns, are into data and understanding quantitative results
Know how to run experiments for different audiences, designs etc
Enjoy working with other Designers in a team environment and raising the design thinking standard throughout the company
