Android/Unity Developer

Job Description

The Partnership Development team, based in Stockholm, working closely with the Toca Boca partnership team based in San Francisco, work with bringing Toca Boca experiences to kids outside Apple, Google Play and Amazon marketplaces. The Partnership Development team require an additional developer with a great eye for Android platform and interest in exploring other mobile and handheld platforms.

In this role you will be responsible for (Android) native and Unity specific development for all apps Toca Boca has released and to bring them to our partner platforms. Your job will be to ensure our products are a joy to play regardless of where they are being played with; be it on a tablet at home or at the back of an airplane seat. A good understanding for what defines an excellent Android experience is key.

The role includes regular business trips as you will join the Partnership Development team for meetings with potential clients across the globe.

Role:
- Making our digital toys delightful experiences on the Partnership platforms.
- Map out technical requirements for new business deals and deliver builds along with these requirements.
- Together with your colleagues ensure our great games reach are adapted to the Partnership platforms in the best possible way.
- Working in an agile, cross functional, team working to deliver the best possible experience on multiple platforms.
- Contributing to the evaluation of existing and upcoming platform initiatives.
- Sharing your expertise and experiences with the team.
- Enjoys and has the ability to travel internationally.

Required background:
- Loves technology challenges in the combination of passion for games.
- Has experience in Android application development.
- Has experience of game development in Unity with C#.
- Experience developing and deploying production mobile applications using native Android SDK.
- Proven understanding of Android mobile and tablet development approaches (native, hybrid, cross platform), preferably from application to solution definition.

Beneficial experience:
- Have worked on a mobile/tablet applications (Native or Wrapper application – non HTML5) in the public application stores outside of Google Play and Amazon.
- Have worked on porting android mobile games to other android ecosystems, for e.g. android tv, consoles etc.
- Experience of test automation for Android.
- Experience with Java/Kotlin and C++
