I love strategy. Every project is different but the formula is the same. To me, a great strategy has three components. It’s what you get when you combine deep insights, a creative concept, and a graceful execution.
Finding deep insights means understanding your target group, their behaviours and most importantly WHY they behave the way they do. I have found that there is no better way to find your answers than engaging with the users themselves. I find these insights through effective planning and research.
By defining the problem you define your goal. With a clearly marked target, you’re ready to create a concept to take you there. Great ideas come from many of ideas. It’s about thinking divergently to come up with as many as possible, something I have done for every project at Hyper Island. Taking these ideas, combining the best ones and tweaking the concept until you have one that is simple, innovative, and rooted in evidence based insights.
