Globally renowned digital learning institute Hyper Island enters its third decade of operations with courses designed to further demystify digital and help digital professional create cultures where innovation can flourish.
Investments in Human Capital Breakthrough technologies like automation, artificial intelligence, augmented reality, blockchain technology, and 5G networks provoke headlines claiming disruption and job losses. But what’s really at the center of the innovation revolution is human capital, not technology. Cultural Transformation “The success of last year’s intensive courses, which sold out way in advance, encouraged us to reflect on ways to keep the courses relevant and breaking new ground,” explains Pernilla Hallberg, Relationship & Project Manager at Hyper Island in Stockholm. “One area we found was of special significance was that people that come to Hyper Island look for cultural insights into digital challenges. People want to understand the changes happening in professional cultures on a deeper level. Technique is one thing but digital transformation is all about people.”
“The term ‘digital’ needs demystifying, so people can focus on developing the right mindset rather than just technical skills. Digital transformation is not just about new technology; it’s about people’s needs and desires,” says Johan Eriksson, Program Manager at Hyper Island in Stockholm. “We consider our portfolio of courses and programs in terms of progression: paths towards exploring new skills, new ways of thinking, and new industry areas. Expanding Portfolio During 2018 the portfolio of intensive courses offered by Hyper Island will grow to incorporate such relevant topics as branding – from a cultural perspective, digital acceleration within financial services, and service design. New courses for late spring will be launched Feb/March. Also growing is the learning centers offering these courses. In addition to Stockholm – home to one of the fastest-growing tech scenes in the world.
Intensive courses will be offered this year in Amsterdam and Zurich, in addition to Stockholm, London, Manchester, Singapore, Sao Paulo and New York.
