Mattias Hansson
CEO
Mattias is a well known media entrepreneur and has had top positions in Scandinavian TV, radio, magazines, Internet and new media. He holds an MBA, global concentration, from Stockholm School of Economics, from which he also has a diploma from the Advanced Management Program. Mattias has written three books and more than a hundred articles on new media.

Åsa Silfverberg
Director
Åsa is a previous Digital Media student graduating 2000 and thereafter working as a Manager in the Digital Media industry. She is focusing on learning experiences and new educational methodologies. Åsa supervises leadership courses, such as Hyper Island Master Classes, UGL and teambuilding.

Maria Distner
Project Manager
In 1997, while taking her Bachelor in Political Science in San Francisco, California, Maria started her career within Digital Media by programming web sites. Ever since, she has combined project management with digital media at different positions, at a number of companies, in various geographical locations. Maria has been working at Hyper Island since 2008, starting off as a project manager in Karlskrona and, since 2009, continuing as Director for the Long Time Programs in both Stockholm and Karlskrona.


Sofie Andersson
Project Manager
Sofie is a previous Hyper Island Business Management student. Sofie is focusing on both the Digital Media program and the Motion Graphics Designer program in Karlskrona.

Sofie Petersson
Project Manager
Sofie is a graduated Hyper Island Business Management student. She has a strong interest in group dynamics as well as personal development. She is now working as a Project Manager in Karlskrona with Hyper Island’s long-term programs. She is also active in the fitness industry as a leader in afro- and aerobic classes.


Peter Hagander
Project Coordinator Short Term Courses
Peter is a previous Hyper Island Business Management student, graduated 2009. He has a background as restaurant manager and has also worked with sales. Peter is a very structured, service minded and digital person. Peter is now in charge of our short term courses such as Hyper Island Master Classes and UGL.


Matthias Pettersson
Operating Technician
Matthias has been an employee since year 2000 and is in charge of, and taking care of our premises and other related issues. Matthias is also the technical support for co-workers and students.


Lars Lundh
Project Manager
Lars is one of the three founders of Hyper Island. Lars is now working with Hyper Island’s properties.


Pär Olsson
Financial Manager
Pär has been working for Hyper Island since the start in 1996 and is in charge of the company’s accounting. Ever since he was born he wanted to deal with finances and Pär started his own account agency at the age of 18.

Roger Sjögren
Director
Roger is back at Hyper Island after some years in the middle east working with media related and conflict resolution projects. Above being a director Roger supervises leadership courses, such as UGL and teambuilding.


Christian Olsson
Project Manager
Christian started working for Hyper Island after graduating from the Digital Media program in 2001. Since then he spent a year and a half in Pristina, Kosovo to set up the sister school to Hyper Island, "IPKO Institute Management Program".


Victoria Egler
Director, Partnerships
Victoria just recently joined the Hyper Island team, coming from a background as a brand development consultant and previous International Marketing Director at EMI Records Sweden. Victoria grew up in Sweden but spent her twenties in Los Angeles, where she attained her degree in Business Management and Brand Development.


Rasmus Bjurström
Project Manager
Rasmus is a former Hyper Island student who now works with the Hyper Island Master Classes and the Hyper Island Future Talent project. He has a background in events, sales and service. Rasmus also has a strong interest for creativity and communication.


Andreas Bylund
Janitor and Technical Assistance
Andreas primarily works with the premises related issues, both in an advisory capacity and with the actual executive decisions. He has a function as tech support, and also act as intermediary between Hyper Island and external contractors. Andreas have a long experience from working in schools as a personal guide and resource person.

Hussain H. Kabani
Director of the Diploma Program

Hussain joined the Hyper Island family in February 2010. He holds Bachelors of Science in Psychology and English from University of North Texas as well as a M.A. in the Humanities from Kings College, London. His international and professional career includes holding various positions in the field of education. He has worked as an independent consultant, an International Manager for the AKDN: a non-profit and global initiative, as a coordinator and pedagogue for the IB: International Baccalaureate. He has lived and worked in various countries and contexts including Sweden, UK, USA, Canada, India, Pakistan, Egypt, East Africa and the Middle East.

Hussain continues to progress his passion for the field of education as the Director of the Diploma Program at Hyper Island.


Emre Gürler
Commercial Manager
Emre is an international business developer. He holds a degree from Växjö School of Economics and Macau University. He has initiated, organized and executed different business and marketing projects in Sweden, China, Germany, England as well as Uganda within various industries. He's also the founder of the Social Entrepreneurship organization, Africa's Potential. At Hyper Island, Emre is focusing on attracting the global market of high caliber digital talents to come and experience the Hyper Island way.


Lynn Sjöberg Westander
PA to CEO
Lynn just moved back from to Stockholm after 10 years i Gothenburg working as an assistant & as global project coordinator at Volvo Powertrain. Lynn is also educated as a PE-teacher and used to train gymnastics six days a week.

Charlotte Sundåker
Marketing Coordinator
Charlotte hold a master degree in business and comes from a background in marketing. She joined the Hyper Island team in the fall of 2009. Charlotte also workes with a children's rights group for young girls.

Eva Holmström
Project Manager
Eva joined the Hyper Island team in November 2009 and works both with the Interactive Art Director and Digital Media programs. She holds an MA in Political Science from Uppsala University and the way from politics to digital media has passed through the public diplomacy sector; working with nation branding and communications at the Swedish Institute.


Eva Hamboldt
Project Manager
Eva manages Long Term Programs, the Interactive Art Director program and Digital Media program. Before she joined Hyper Island she worked as a Senior Consultant at Spotlight PR. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Media and Communications Science and has 15 years of experience from the communications area, in Sweden as well as internationally. Eva is a certified UGL facilitator and is licensed to perform GDQ measurements on work groups and management groups
