Hyper Island's YH (AVET) Programs are open only to persons fluent in any of the following Scandinavian languages (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Faeroese) regardless of nationality or citizenship.
This is a government regulation requirement for all YH-programs. We are happy to give persons who don't speak any of the above listed Scandinavian languages the opportunity to apply to our Diploma Programs.

The YH (AVET) Programs
An excellent way to getting the job you want!
YH (AVET) is a form of post-secondary education designed to meet current competence needs in working life. The official translation of YH to English is AVET, which stands for Advanced Vocational Education and Training (AVET).

The YH-programs are free of charge, and YH entitles inhabitants in Sweden (and, in some cases, EU and EES) to student loan funding.

At present time Hyper Island runs seven different YH-programs:
- Digital Media 90 weeks, Karlskrona
- Digital Media 90 weeks, Stockholm
- Interactive Art Director 45 weeks, Stockholm
- Motion Graphics Designer and Developer 40 weeks, Karlskrona
- Motion Graphics Designer and Developer, 40 weeks Stockholm
- E-commerce Manager, Stockholm
- Application Designer and Developer for Mobile Devices, Karlskrona

There are some basic requirements for enrollment within a YH-program. You have to hold a graduation of a Swedish upper-secondary education or equivalent. Your application needs to include attested document/s in English or Swedish to verify this!

The Diploma Programs

Hyper Island Diploma Programs are advanced educations created based on a current need of competence within the digital and interactive media industry.

Hyper Island Diploma Programs are open to English speaking persons, regardless of nationality or citizenship.

To enter a Hyper Island Diploma Program you have to hold at least a graduation from an upper secondary education. For some of the programs additional qualifications are required.

At present time Hyper Island runs five different Diploma Programs:

- Interactive Art Director 45 weeks, Stockholm
- Motion Graphics Designer and Developer 40 weeks, Karlskrona
- Motion Graphics Designer and Developer 40 weeks, Stockholm

If you pass all the tasks of the program you will receive a Hyper Island Diploma. Hyper Island puts high demands on students in solving tasks within the Diploma programs, therefore receiving a diploma is a sign of a good quality student. The Hyper Island brand is highly recognized in the digital and interactive media industry worldwide.
